This is a Permanent, Full Time vacancy that will close in {x} days at {xx:xx} BST.

We are seeking an ambitious and scientifically accomplished proteomics specialist to lead the Babraham Institute's Mass Spectrometry Facility during an exciting period of growth and investment.

This is a unique opportunity to shape and lead a strategically important facility, working at the interface of technology, discovery science and research collaboration. Supported by significant recent investment, including state-of-the-art Thermo Orbitrap Astral and Eclipse mass spectrometry platforms, you will define the Facility's future direction, develop innovative services and establish workflows that enable high-impact research.

As Head of Facility, you will provide scientific leadership, strategic direction and operational oversight of a cutting-edge proteomics platform supporting internationally recognised research programmes in epigenetics, immunology and signalling. Working closely with researchers, technical specialists and institutional leaders, you will ensure the Facility delivers high-quality, responsive and forward-looking services that evolve with scientific need and technological opportunity.

You will lead the delivery of advanced proteomics capabilities, support experimental design and technology adoption, and develop collaborations with academic and commercial partners. The role also provides the opportunity to enhance the national and international profile of the Facility through scientific engagement, professional networks and community leadership.

This position would suit either an established facility leader seeking greater strategic influence, or an experienced senior proteomics scientist looking for the opportunity to shape the future of a well-resourced, technologically advanced research platform.

A full job specification and role requirements can be found attached to this vacancy.
